"I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the 10-course lunch omakase at Hakuryu to celebrate my birthday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel warmly welcomed. Their attentiveness, friendliness, and thoughtful celebration gestures added such a personal touch, elevating the meal into something even more memorable. The omakase itself was exceptional. Each course showcased the chef’s skill, precision, and respect for seasonal ingredients. The pacing was perfect, allowing us to savor every bite and appreciate the artistry behind each dish. While every course impressed, the toro stood out as an absolute highlight — melt-in-your-mouth perfection, easily a 10/10. Hakuryu strikes a beautiful balance between refined elegance and genuine hospitality, making the experience both intimate and celebratory. I left with a deep appreciation not only for the food, but also for the warmth of the team who made the occasion so special. I will certainly be returning to explore their dinner course in the future."

"Hakuryu delivers on every level. The atmosphere is intimate and elegant—true Japanese fine dining. Their otoro uni is to die for—absolutely melts in your mouth. Every course that followed was thoughtful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Service? Perfect. The chefs and staff were attentive without being intrusive, and every detail was handled with care. Definitely a place I’ll come back to when I want to treat myself or impress someone special. Highly recommend."

"Had a delightful Japanese Kappo style dining experience with best quality seasonal ingredients and great culinary skills at Hakuryu. Our fav dishes were the aged otoro sushi, Inaniwa Udon and A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Don. But everything else was amazing too! Will definately be back again!!"

"Great dining experience! The Kappo omakase menu was very fresh and creative, with each course expertly crafted to delight the palate. Our favorites were Tuna Zuke Nigiri, Hairy Crab Sea Urchin Ikura Salad Bowl, and A5 Miyazaki Wagyu. The service was impeccable - attentive, knowledgeable. "Made a highly anticipated reservation to Hakuryu to try the latest omakase course from Chef Matsuo and it did not disappoint. We were presented with a thoughtfully curated 12-course meal that had a mix of varied traditional and modern dishes, individually delicious and collectively balanced to create a truly elegant dining experience. Located below one of my other favorite restaurants, Hakuren, in the heart of Senopati, Hakuryu has a bar-style and open kitchen layout, sleek and modern Japanese feel with incredible ambient lighting that illuminates the table top to highlight the dishes being served. Its limited seating is perfect for an intimate date night or a very private gathering with friends/family. The dining experience itself was superb and I could tell that each course was prepared and presented with care and attention to aesthetics. I really loved how the dishes are so varied, from sashimi cuts, hand rolls, soups, to charcoal grilled steaks, shabu-shabu and rice bowls - giving a little taste of all types of Japanese comfort foods and delicacies. All of the dishes were impressive, but my personal standouts were: Tuna Katsu Sando with Caviar, Uni and A5 Sirloin Hand Rolls, A5 Miyazaki Tenderloin and the Donabe Rice Abalone. Overall, an excellent omakase course that is both delicious and well balanced and appreciate the skills and precision that the chefs bring. The staff and service overall is top class - friendly, informative, and attentive. Overall, a truly elegant establishment that is worth visiting and I will be back in the near future."

"Wagyu don, crispy Amadai, chawanmushi and sakura ebi somen were delicious. Wished their signature dry aged tuna left a better impression.. chutoro katsu sando was fishy and too oily (from the frying style) , ootoro nigiri’s shari was too cold. Service staff could be trained better in pouring wine as she was spilling everywhere."
